Greetings Lizards!!
And the snow keeps coming down! I'm normally the guy who has a smile on his face whenever it snows, however this has been ridiculous. Even my kids are tired of missing school and being cooped up at home. My wife is looking for ideas for her school class. She's looking for Father's day crafts as they very well may be in school till then. I'm running out of places to move snow and have now realized that all this white sh...stuff is going to melt and make one hell of a mess. Lucky for us we have some Hot blues coming up to take the chill off.
Shemekia is just around the corner and we have a lot going on at this show. The opening band will feature our own Peaches & Diesel with special guests, The Barrelhouse Horns. I'm real excited to hear what this eight piece extravaganza has to offer. We are having our usual poster auction as well as a special guitar auction too. Our proceeds this show will go towards the Brushy Creek Honor Flight for our Vets. My father has once again donated his time and talents to create another one of a kind tribute Fender guitar. It is a patriotic theme and no doubt a real eye catcher. Hopefully we can make a very substantial donation to this wonderful cause. What a way to give back.
I have been working diligently on BUTT 2010 and WE ARE BACK on JULY 31st weekend. I will have an announcement of our lineup at the Shemekia show. Let me just say, there will be something for everyone and as broad a lineup as we have ever had. So tell all your friends, neighbors, relatives and generally anyone who will listen to be at the Starlite on February 27th for a hot break from all these winter Blues!
